3 Ways to awaken your LinkedIn marketing content creativity

“Create and post something new for your business”, it’s sometimes easier said than done. Creativity comes in combination with many elements, such as motivation, inspiration, fresh perspective.

Here are our 3 preferred simple ways to awaken sleeping creativity inside of us.

1. Change your workspace.

Try switching your casual workspace to somewhere new. Sometimes a fresh environment does the trick to get us motivated and excited. Try working at a different desk, book a conference room, maybe switch to a balcony or outside terrace. See if you can find a space in the park. Productive work does not always come in 4 walls. As long as you can have your laptop and internet you’re good to go. Perhaps your next LinkedIn article will come while drinking morning Cappuccino.

2. Start moving around more.

Try adding in an activity in your daily routine. Go for a walk or a run in the nearby area. Stanford researchers found that walking boosts creative inspiration. They observed that when people walked their creativity jumped up by 60%.

Sometimes a nice stroll in the old town gives us the necessary boost of energy, opens our eyes to new ideas, and gives the inspiration to create something new. Maybe your next LinkedIn post idea will come during your run, or maybe you will record your next video update while walking?

3. Eliminate your distractions.

As you have finally found the inspiration to work on the content piece, the worst can happen is something hitting you straight out of your “creativity wave”. Finding again that flow, feeling, and idea can be challenging at times, especially when you have constant distractions in your way.

Try reserving time in your calendar, change your status in the team’s chat room to “busy” or “do not disturb”. See if things that might pop-up can be resolved beforehand. Try to carve out time to fully focus on creating your new LinkedIn content, whether its audio, video, graphic or text piece.

After all, we have to give ourselves time and space to get to the idea and really work on it. LinkedIn is a fantastic place to share your brand voice and participate in its lively conversations. Creating content might not always be easy, but definitely rewarding once you have done it. With so many topics, formats, and forums you can for sure find a way that works best for you and your brand.
